I learnt that teamwork is the key in a group. Without teamwork, we would all never finish any activities in time as we would be doing different things. Now with everyone together working as a team, We got things done quickly and efficiently and got to be the 2nd best group because of that.
Another value is friends. During the night of the camp, I was simply exhausted, no energy left in my body. Then, my friends said: “Hey Zheng Jie! Why are you so moody and quietly all of a sudden?”
It was then I realised those people were true friends who stick with you through thick and thin, and can immediately realised when you have a change of mood. Those are True Friends.
Another aspect would be Team Cheering. If you feel that you have no strength left to carry on anything, Team Cheering will boost our group up. After we cheered our cheer, we had the motivation to carry on any task, like the Jumping Rope, Harry Potter, Tyre Tunnel etc.
To round it all up, We are nothing alone, but strong together.
I can also use all these values back in school. I always heard “Ask And You’ll be given”, but I did not understand it the first time, but now i do: Ask for help and 200 hands from pupils will help you. This is the SST spirit.
If I were given another chance to go and try the activities, I say I would go and try the Flying Fox (Zip line) and the Mud Slide . Why? I would choose the flying fox as I did not get to go and try (due to time constrains) and because I heard from everyone it was very fun. For the Mud slide, I would try it again as I wanted to scream something like “Yeah!” at the last minute , but i was too scared too.
Just to add on, We weren't given enough time to go back to the dorm as ours were very far and the girls’ were so near. And the food wreaked...
But I had fun after eating that bitter pill of negativity, and I felt our class stuck together the most, although we went to suck up to the camp chief for more points... HAHA

I understand that not everything can be taught. It is a total different experience if you expand by doing, not only read about it.That is what I think the school values means.
It will help as SST is a school for applied learning, hands on experience, not everything by the book.

Forging excellence is everyone’s goal. Striving for perfection and gain excellence on the way. that is my way of doing things.I think I have the the knowledge of computers can help me. We should all pitch in to help in a group work. All for one and one for all!We should appoint those who have their talents in an area they are good at to increase class efficiency.
